ICYMI: Isaiah Trousil Adds to Record Books After Winter Surgery

West Burlington Notre Dame senior Isaiah Trousil concluded his high school running career, he made sure to do so in history setting fashion.  Going into the State track meet, Trousil already held two individual state titles in the 100m and 200m.  After this year's meet, however, the wins continued to stack up, making Trousil the first athlete in Iowa High School Track and Field history to win both the 100m and 200m three years in a row.  To few people's knowledge, Trousil was out during winter training after a shoulder surgery, making his wins even more impressive. With these wins, along with others in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays through the years, Trousil can boast a total of 10 state titles during his high school track career. Trousil has gone undefeated in the 100m since his sophomore year, placing first every time he competed in the distance, and setting a state record in the process with a time of 10.53 at Drake Relays earlier this spring. Though Trousil has not confirmed if he will be running collegiately, he has signed a letter of intent to play football at the University of Northern Iowa, and will certainly be added to the list of excellent athletes to come out of Iowa.
