IOWATFXC.COM Athletes of the Week, March 12-17
IOWATFXC.COM will be announcing a male and female athlete of the week each week of the season through summer, 2012. The selections will be based on performance, not necessarily best performance, that week; in order to spread the award among more than just the same few athletes all season.
Our “Athletes of the Week, March 12-17” are:
FEMALE - Amanda Houston, senior, Fort Madison HS; Shot Put - 41’6.5”, ISU Classic Indoor (Girls), 3/12; ranked 41st nationally indoors, 2012
MALE - Jason Thomas, sophomore, Dowling Catholic HS; 1600m – 4:20.54, ISU Classic Indoor (Boys), 3/13; ranked 50th nationally indoors, 2012.
