Meet Results Formats
When meet managers prepare results, they have options on how to produce those results and the formats in which they distribute them.
Unless a manager is back in the stone-ages of printing the results on a piece of paper and then photo-copying or scanning in and distributing them, they use computer software (e.g. - Hytek, Raceberry Jam, RaceTab, Word, Excel, PDF) that produces and outputs the results in one of various formats. Some (Hytek, Raceberry Jam, RaceTab) provide output which are attractive and readily convertible to other mediums without losing their attractive formatting. Others (Word, Excel, PDF) don’t.
For examples of results produced by different software submitted in various formats, we’ve posted results for the Gilbert XC Invitational 8/23 as:

So, if you’re a meet manager, if possible please use and distribute your results in RaceTab [the best, cheapest (it’s FREE), and easiest to use], Hytek flat HTML, or Raceberry Jam. And if you’re an athlete, parent, coach, or fan, please encourage meet managers to do the same. Thanks!!
PS - You may note, from results received from some meets, that we also prepare and present the results in RaceTab format. From results received in Word, PDF, Excel, and other non-Hytek or non-Raceberry Jam forms, we have to do that anyway before compiling them to be available for your automated IOWATFXC.COM athlete-team-conference-division-state statistics and rankings.
