1.      When & how did you get started in track & field?

When I was eight years old, I had a friend who ran for a summer track club; and I thought it'd be really fun to join.  I've been hooked ever since.

2.      Person/people most influential to your success in track & field?

My Parents, Coaches (past and present), and Teammates.

3.      Your favorite track & field event(s)?

I am personally a huge fan of the 400 hurdles, although I completely despised them when I first ran them.  Now they've sort of grown on me, and I really love the challenge of them.

4.      Your track & field event coach(es)?

Mark Stallman coaches me in the hurdles. Josh Maxwell and Jeff Grassmeyer train me in middle distance.

5.       Keys to your successful track & field training program?

Train hard, perfect my technique, and pray I don't trip over a hurdle.

6.      Your favorite track & field meet(s)?

I love the Drake relays, but I really liked last years Conference meet because tornado warning delays caused us to run past midnight - it was a nice change.

7.      Track & field athlete(s) you most enjoy competing against?

I really liked competing against Nate Lucs and Beau Easley, but they graduated.  I mostly enjoy competing against my teammates.   As far as runners from other teams, I'd say Sydney Davis from Roosevelt.

8.      Most memorable experience in track & field so far?

Last years Conference meet, because I PR'd in all of my events.

9.      Greatest accomplishment(s) in track & field so far?

Running the 400 lows at the State meet as a sophomore and medaling in the top 6.

10.   Goals for the 2013 track & field season?

I would like to make it to Drake and State in all of my events and finish in the top 3.

11.   If a senior, college/university you will attend, or schools you are considering?

Since I'm only a Junior I don't have a college in mind, but going to the University of Iowa would be pretty awesome.

      12.  Long-term goals in track & field?

Run in college, and have fun with it the whole time.
