Coverage central for the 2014 Iowa High School Outdoor Track & Field State Championship meet held from May 22nd through May 24th at Drake University in Des Moines. Complete results and highlights to be posted after each day of competition.
Highlights
- Stephanie Jenks (Linn-Mar) and Thomas Pollard (Gilbert) record new Iowa Records in the 3000m and 3200m. Jenks beat Katie Flood's record, clocking in at 9:24.67. Pollard topped a nearly 30 year old recording, running 8:50. In total, four guys ran faster than 9:02 with two going sub nine.
- Prairie finished in a new IA#1 in the 4x800m, 7:49.52. They finished less than half a second ahead of Iowa City West.
