Joy Ripslinger Becomes Iowa Track Legend

Check out an interview with Joy after her four victories!

Joy Ripslinger's incredible high school career came to an end over the weekend in a way only fitting for the Assumption senior and Arkansas track commit. She became the first athlete in Iowa High School Track and Field history to win the 400 meter, 800 meter, 1,500 meter, and 3,000 meter in the same State meet. With her 4 historical victories this weekend, that gives Ripslinger a total of 9 State titles. To go along with that amazing number of top finishes, she can also boast five 2nd place finishes in her career, 3 State records, seven Drake Relays titles, and helped lead her team to four straight team State titles for the Class 3A Girls. During the indoor track season, Ripslinger competed at the New Balance Nationals Indoor as part of a winning relay team in the 1600M Sprint Medley Relay, and a fourth-place individual finish in the 800M Run. After her performances at the New Balance Armory in New York, Ripslinger was named an All-American for her efforts. After making more National headlines throughout this track season, Ripslinger will look to her collegiate career as a Razorback to continue down the path of success.
