Zach Kreft and Chad Johnson both put a stamp on their Ohio high school cross country racing careers at last year's State Championship meet, as the seniors won their respective races in emphatic fashion.
Kreft, shown above, ran away from the DII field - winning in 15:20.60, while Johnson, shown below, did much of the same to his fellow DIII competitors. He went 15:33.30 for a twelve second spread over runner-up, Brendan Siefker of Ottoville.
Both athletes have gone on to have successful freshman season's at the college level. Kreft represents the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Johnson is a member of the Iowa State Cyclones.
