Salute To Seniors: Emmanuel Niang (CD East)

Today, we salute Emmanuel Niang of Central Dauphin East.

The recent graduate closed out an impressive career that saw him emerge as a star, particularly during his senior year. Niang won the PIAA Class AAA state title in the 110 meter hurdles, running 14.28 for the state title. He improved on that PR at New Balance Nationals Outdoor, where he ran 14.26 for 28th overall.

He was also apart of Central Dauphin East's state title-winning 4x200 meter relay from the indoor season. That squad ran a season best of 1:28.52, one of the quickest times in state history.

Niang, who is bound for Iowa Western in the fall, reflected on his career for PennTrackXC.

Throughout the end of June and through July we we be honoring our graduating seniors. To submit your own questionnaire to be posted on the front page of PennTrackXC, check out this page and email your responses to Dan Beck (daniel.beck@flosports.tv).

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

Out of all my accomplishment the one that stood out the most was my state 3A title in 110 hurdles because I could of never imagined it , to think last year I couldn't get over a hurdle to being the top is unimaginable.
