NEW ORLEANS, LA. -  The Drake men's track and field program has been honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a 2009 Division I All-Academic Track and Field team.
 
The Bulldogs, who maintain a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.165, were one of 67 programs across the nation that were saluted for carrying a minimum 3.000 cumulative GPA.

Drake was one of three schools from the Missouri Valley Conference that were recognized joining Indiana State, which had a cumulative GPA of  3.032; and Southern Illinois, 3.00.
