The quick vibe: We always hype things even when we don't mean to. Why? It's human nature to do just that when you have the top cross country meet in the country (we say so). This is a one sweepstakes takes all scenario on both sides. It might as well be a brawl in someone's backyard, woods, or alley. Whoever wins this affair will have the inside track to the bag of success down the road. That could be state, national, or whatever. But at the very least the entertainment value will be at a premium.
