Ashlyn Keeney, Ryan Winger Take Individual Honors



IOWA CITY, Iowa - Dubuque celebrated Thursday afternoon here at the MVC Super Meet. Senior won the girls title, while Hempstead claimed the top spot on the boys' side. 

Iowa City Liberty sophomore Ashlyn Keeney (18:07) raced to victory for the girls. Ryan Winger of Hempstead crossed the finish line first in the boys' race with a time of 16:04. 

Senior (73) edged Linn-Mar (77) among girls' teams. Iowa City High took third with 114, while Cedar Rapids Prairie (118) finished fourth. 

For the boys, Hempstead cruised with 47. Cedar Falls (70) ended up second, while Prairie (104) and Iowa City West (116) rounded out the Top 4. 

Linn-Mar junior Micah Poellet (18:54) took runner-up honors behind Keeney. Lillian Schmidt (19:11) and Claire Edmondson (19:16) grabbed third and fifth place, respectively, for champion Senior. Linn-Mar's Chloe Skidmore (19:16) finished fourth. 

Prairie's Jack Pendergast (16:18) came in second for the boys. Jacob Green of Cedar Rapids Kennedy claimed third in 16:40. Cedar Falls' Brayden Burnett (16:42) and Linn-Mar's Dylan Dolezal (16:42) rounded out the Top 5.
