The 2010s are nearly over and with it a decade of Missouri Cross Country.
In those 10 years, the state has undergone quite the transformation. Dynasties were established, strengthened, and even moved to new classifications to continue their excellence.
The state's famed cross country course at Oak Hills Golf Center underwent several transformations before ultimately ceding hosting duties to the brand new Gans Creek Recreation Area course.
Some of the finest individuals Missouri distance running has ever seen have left their marks on the record books for years to come.
2010 (this author's senior year of high school) seems so long ago, but, with our All-Decade team announcement, you can relive some of the most memorable moments with this list of the 10 finest athletes of the decade.
When selecting these athletes, any performances before 2010 were not considered. Some athletes won state championships or earned all-state honors, or ran faster personal records, before 2010, but those performances, again, were not considered. The top seven athletes listed make up the classification's All-Decade team while the three athletes listed below are honorable mention.
