Anthony Pettaway (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and senior
Josh Bangert (Washington, Mo.) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the long jump, to key action for the Drake men's track and field team at the Iowa State Open Friday.
Pettaway leaped 22 feet 11.25 inches, while Bangert had a top mark of 22-11, coming on his first jump. Freshman
Dan Karys (Bartlett, Ill.) was 11th at 22-1.
Meanwhile, Drake was sixth in the men's distance medley relay in 10:10.79 with sophomore
Colin Hagan (Wichita, Kan.), sophomore
Jon DeGrave (Lake Villa, Ill.), senior
Kevin Earl (Overland Park, Kan.) and senior
Jeff Grassmeyer (Fremont, Neb.) running.

Ben Jaskowiak (Madison, Wis.) was ninth in 10:34.60

Josh Buschling (Washington, Mo.) was second in the men's non-seeded 5,000-meter run, being timed in 15:45.
