The Drake men's track and field team will send athletes to the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, Kan., Friday.
A LOOK BACK: Senior
Anthony Pettaway (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and senior
Josh Bangert (Washington, Mo.) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the long jump. Pettaway leaped 22 feet 11.25 inches, while Bangert had a top mark of 22-11, coming on his first jump. Freshman
Dan Karys (Bartlett, Ill.) was 11th at 22-1.
Drake was sixth in the men's distance medley relay in 10:10.79 with sophomore

Jeff Grassmeyer (Fremont, Neb.) running.
Earl was eighth in the 600-yard run in 1:14.77. Grassmeyer was 12th in the mile in 4:17.33.
Sophomore
Josh Buschling (Washington, Mo.) was second in the non-seeded 5,000-meter run, being timed in 15:45. Junior
Luke Schafer (Centennial, Colo.) was second in the non-seeded 3,000-meter run in 9:09.35, while sophomore
Ben Jaskowiak (Madison, Wis.) was eighth in 9:11.15.
Freshman
Kevin Harp (Iowa City, Iowa) was 17th in the shot put at 44-0. Sophomore
Eric Hall (Des Moines, Iowa) tied for third in the non-seeded pole vault at 12 feet 5.5 inches.
Sophomore
Colin Hagan (Wichita, Kan.) was 20th in the mile in 4:27.37. Sophomore
Charlie Lapham (Golden Valley, Minn.) was 28th in the men's 800 in 2:00.32.
