AMES, IOWA -- Drake junior Ari Curtis (Fort Collins, Colo.) leaped 17 feet 10.75 inches to finish 15th in the women's long jump at the Iowa State Classic Friday.

She also placed 73rd out of 131 runners in the women's 200-meter dash in 25.91 seconds. Senior teammate Caitlin Able (Aurora, Colo.) was 110th in 27.11.

Junior Meredith Bell (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was 34th in the unseeded 3,000-meter run in 10:29.51.  Junior Tara Scieszinski (Albia, Iowa) was 40th in 10:41.56, while freshman Elle Yesnes (Hopkins, Minn.) was 54th in 11:18.60 and freshman London James (Adair, Iowa) 56th in 11:34.02.
