DES MOINES, IOWA -- Drake was one of 176 women's cross country programs which earned All-Academic team status by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Members of the Drake women's cross country team owned a 3.46 cumulative grade-point average (based on a 4.0 GPA scale) after the fall 2009 semester.

For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum of a 3.00 team cumulative grade-point average.
