WACO, TEXAS -- The Drake men's and women's track and field teams will have to wait another week before opening their outdoor season.

The Bulldogs' scheduled outdoor season opening meet at the Baylor/Dr. Pepper Invitational in Waco, Texas, this Saturday (March 20) was canceled because of inclement weather expected to hit the Waco area.

Cold temperatures and rain are forecast to blanket Waco all day Saturday.

The cancellation moves the start of Drake's outdoor season to next Friday, March 26, for the Missouri Relays in Columbia, Mo. Meet information and a schedule of events will be available on www.godrakebulldogs.com before the meet.
