DES MOINES, IOWA --  Senior Deidra Dirth (Apple Valley, Minn.) was second in the discus at 155 feet 9 inches to highlight action for the Drake women's track and field team at the Jim Duncan Invitational Friday at Drake Stadium.

Drake senior Tara Scieszinski (Albia, Iowa) was third in the women's 5,000 in 17:53.83, while junior teammate Meredith Bell (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was fifth in 18:09.06.

Drake senior Courtney Heinz (St. Paul, Minn.) was seventh in the 3,000 steeplechase in 12:05.30.
