IOWA CITY, IOWA -- Drake senior
Nicole Braunsdorf (St. Francis, Wis.) placed third in the 1,500, while junior teammate
Casey McDermott (Newton, Iowa) was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to highlight action for the Drake women's track and field team at the Iowa Musco Invitational Saturday night.
Braunsdorf was clocked in 4 minutes 30.65 seconds in the 1,500.
McDermott, the school-record holder in the 3,000 steeplechase, was timed in 11:08.08, while senior teammate
Courtney Heinz (St. Paul, Minn.) was fourth in 11:32.51.
Senior
Deidra Dirth (Apple Valley, Minn.) was second in the discus at 154 feet five inches, while setting a personal best in the javelin at 112-6 en route to a sixth-place finish.
Junior
Cambria Pardner (Aurora, Colo.) was second in the triple jump at 36-1.5. Junior
Tyse Samani (Kansas City, Mo.) was fourth in the high jump at 5-3, while freshman
Sarah Yeager (Ottumwa, Iowa) was fourth in the 100 hurdles in 14.49. She came back to place sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:03.78.

Marissa Smith (Ajacx, Ontario, Canada) and junior
Ari Curtis (Fort Collins, Cplo.) were fifth and sixth in 14.49 and 14.89, respectively, in the 100 hurdles.
Junior
Johanna Sprang (New Brighton, Minn.) was fifth in the pole vault at 11-3.75.
