DES MOINES, IOWA -- Former Drake track standout Jason Lehmkuhle will compete in at the USA Half Marathon Championships in Houston this Saturday (Jan. 28).
The championships will be hosted by the Aramco Houston Half Marathon and begin at 8:00 a.m.
Lehmkuhle has a personal best in the half marathon of 1:02:32. He finished second in the USA Half Marathon Championships in 2008, fifth in 2007 and third in 2005. He has been a two-time member (2005 and 2008) of the U.S. World Half Marathon team as well.
Lehmkuhle, a native of St. Charles, Mo., owns the all-time Missouri Valley Conference record in the outdoor 10,000 meters of 28:44.91 set in 2000. He also won the individual cross country title at the 1999 MVC Championship.
