The Return of Yanek
McKenzie Yanek is the queen of cross country in the state. Without an in-state loss since her freshman year at the state meet where she was 4th, Yanek has a state title from her sophomore year. After an unblemished season, it looked like she was on pace to grab her second gold medal. With illness keeping her from the the state meet she was unable to defend her crown. With a new season coming up, we look forward to Yanek getting back out there and aiming for a second cross country state title.
