Steiner won the 60m and 200m races at the D1 State Championship with her times of 7.36 and 23.75, respectively. Following State's, the future Kentucky Wildcat went on to place second in the 200m (23.51) and fifth in the 60m (7.42) at New Balance Nationals in New York City.

Ewert won the D1 3200m State Championship with her US No. 9 time of 10:40.38 and she also took the win in the 1 Mile Race Walk event at New Balance Nationals Indoor with her 6:49.20 effort. The Beavercreek sophomore placed eleventh in the 2 Mile race at NBNI due to her 10:40.37 result.
