CCA, Camanche Individuals Claim Crowns

TIPTON, Iowa - Haidyn Barker, a freshman from Clear Creek Amana, topped the field here at the Tipton Invitational Tuesday at City Park. Dylan Darsidan of Camanche took the title on the boys side. 

Barker completed the course in 20:40, outdistancing second-place Jimeno Fierro of West Liberty (20:45). Cenady Soenksen of Northeast finished third in 21:27. 

Solon won the girls team title with 54 points. The Spartans were led by a fourth-place finish from Kiersten Conway (21:34). Iowa City Regina claimed second place with 80 points, while Central DeWitt (82) took third. 

Darsidan completed the race in 16:43. He was followed by Tipton's Caleb Shumaker (16:45) and Chase Knoche (16:53) of Calamus-Wheatland. 

Tipton grabbed the boys team title with 35 points, easily outdistancing second-place Northeast (116). Camanche (117) finished third.
