Adysn SlackIowa high school track and field athletes posted personal records across multiple events during competition from April 13-16.
Jace Hardisty (CAM, Anita) threw 153-8 in the discus at the East Union Coed meet on April 13, improving from his previous best of 124-5 set in March 2026. The mark ranks #46 in Iowa and set a new school record for CAM High School, placing second among 18 competitors.
Camryn Stubbe (South O'Brien, Paullina) ran 12.80 in the 100 meters at the Russ Kraai Relays on April 14, dropping from her previous personal record of 13.35. The time moves her to #59 in the state and earned third place in a field of 20 runners. Stubbe also set personal records in three other events at the same meet: 27.80 in the 200 meters (previous best 28.37), 15-5 in the long jump (previous best 14-9.25), and 1:06.61 in the 400 meters (previous best 1:07.72).
Sophomore Adysn Slack (Bettendorf) clocked 13.16 in the 100 meters at the Assumption Last Chance Drake Relays Qualifier on April 16, improving from her previous mark of 13.69. The time ranks #136 statewide and #17 among Iowa sophomores, finishing fourth out of 26 competitors.
Junior Kyler Blanchard (Cedar Falls) ran 10:12.55 in the 3200 meters at the Cole Collinge Relays on April 16, cutting nearly two minutes from his previous personal record of 12:13.91 set in April 2025. The performance ranks #83 in Iowa and #29 among junior runners, placing third in a field of 13.
Peyton Wilbur (Indianola) threw 49-5.25 in the shot put at the Fred Smith Hawk Relays on April 14, improving from his previous best of 41-9.5. The mark places him #74 in the state rankings and earned fifth place among 43 throwers.
Freshman Kaiah Starr (Ankeny Centennial) ran 2:28.66 in the 800 meters at the Jaguar Girls Invitational on April 16, improving from her previous personal record of 2:34.67 set in April 2026. The time ranks #79 statewide and #10 among Iowa freshmen, finishing 10th out of 30 runners.
Freshman Ewinne Blessing Whagar (Sioux City East) clocked 13.05 in the 100 meters at the Don Shilling Memorial Invitational on April 13, improving from her previous mark of 13.58 set in March 2026. The time ranks #108 in Iowa and #11 among freshman runners, placing third in a field of 16.
