USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships 2010

College freshmen Shelby Greany of Providence College and Robby Andrews of the University of Virginia will try to make the U.S. team for this summer’s World Junior Championships, to be held next month in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

While the 2010 NCAA season has come to a close, Oklahoma Track and Field athletes are still in action as a group of 13 current Sooners head to Des Moines, Iowa, this week for the 2010 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The group will also be joined at the event by three Oklahoma alums.

Coming off of their first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championship, University of Connecticut mid-distance runners Brian Gagnon and Mike Rutt will head out to their second-straight USATF Championship on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Just over a week removed from an outstanding showing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, the Nittany Lion track and field teams will be in action again this week at the USATF Senior and Junior Outdoor Championships. The event, which will feature top talent from the prep, collegiate, and professional ranks, is set for June 23-27, at Drake Stadium.

Current and former South Carolina athletes are set to invade Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa, as 17 Gamecocks are scheduled to compete this week at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The North Dakota State women's track and field team will send four athletes to the 2010 U.S. Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.

A number of current and former Ducks will be in action at this week's USA Track & Field Championships and Junior Track & Field Championships Wednesday through Sunday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

Kansas rising sophomore Mason Finley recorded a personal best mark in the shot put, while competing against the world's elite competitors in the event at the 2010 USA National Track and Field Championships here Sunday.

DES MOINES, Iowa - Senior Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) closed her collegiate career with a bang at the US Outdoor Track Field Championships over the weekend. Hayes finished broke the school-record in the 400-meter hurdles in the semifinals of the event, and went on to place seventh in the finals. After a 57.89 effort advanced her to the semifinals on Friday, Hayes recorded her record-breaking time of 56.53 to top the mark she set at the NCAA East Regionals last month by .42 seconds. In the finals, she posted a time of 57.56 to seal her seventh place finish.

Leo Manzano just missed capturing his first U.S. title in the 1,500 meters when he clocked a 3:50.91, to finish just behind Lopez Lomong (3:50.83).

Duquesne's Ashley Adams participated in the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- A quartet of former Cornell standout track and field athletes competed at the 2010 USA Track and Field Championships over the weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, with three finishing in the top 12 of their respective events. Muhammad Halim, Morgan Uceny and Garrett Huyler each competed at Drake Stadium, with Halim and Uceny both finishing in the top five. Toni-Lynn Salucci also competed in the 5,000m at her first outdoor USATF meet.
