IOWA CITY, Iowa - Senior Floyd Evans took first place to lead Mid-Prairie to victory at the Clear Creek-Amana Invitational Monday.
Evans, who finished third at last week's Solon Invitational, completed the race in 17:28.31. Brandon Barker of Clear Creek-Amana took second place in 17:43.36 while Mid-Prairie's Peyton Miller (17:57.79) took third.
The Golden Hawks won the team title with 29 points, edging out Clear Creek-Amana (31). Vinton-Shellsburg finished third with 71.
Mid-Prairie's Zach Pettit (18:08.35) finished in fourth. Clear Creek-Amana teammates Nick O'Connor (18:09.81) and Cole Liebe (18:15.49) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
