Iowa Girls Nationwide Ranking Per Event

Below are the individual events and the top returner in that event from the state of Iowa. We have also place where the individual ranks with athletes in all 50 states. The 400 meter hurdles are not placed in the event list due a lack of comparisons with only a few other states competing in it. The 1500 and 3000 were also not included, as only 4 states compete at those distances. The rankings in those events do not give a fair representation compared to the other events. Kat Moody is the highest ranked athlete compared to all 50 states. She is ranked 4th overall in the shot put. Maria Gorham of North Polk High School is also representing Iowa strong in the field events with a high jump of 5-8. Kerris Roberts of Waterloo East High School is the highest ranked Iowan in the 100 and 200 meter. She is the only one to be ranked 1st for Iowans in multiple events.
