IOWA CITY, Iowa - Cedar Falls showed excellent team depth in cruising to victory in the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division meet Thursday night here at Iowa City High's John Raffensperger Track.
The Tigers scored 193.5 points in outdistancing second-place City High (136). Cedar Rapids Prairie finished third with 124.
The meet featured three athletes who raced to victory in two events. Waterloo East's Kerris Roberts captured the 100 and 200, Mackenzie Michael of Cedar Falls claimed the 400 and 800, and Dubuque Senior's Claire Edmondson crossed the finish line first in the 1500 and 3000.
Two teams picked up a pair of relay wins. City High grabbed gold in the shuttle hurdle and 4x400. Cedar Rapids Prairie proved victorious in the sprint and distance medleys.
Cedar Falls came out on top in three of the four field events. Emerson Green won the long jump, Myah Brinker captured the discus and Allison Flanscha took the shot put.
