Iowa at Footlocker Regionals
The Footlocker National Championships, San Diego, CA, December 8 will bring together the top 40 U.S. high school boys and girls for their final cross country showdown of 2012. Athletes qualify for the full expenses paid (housing at the world-famous Hotel Del Coronado, etc.) trip to Nationals by top 10 places in four Footlocker Regional competitions.
Runners from Iowa, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin will meet at the Footlocker Midwest Regionals, UW-Parkside, Kenosha, WI on Saturday, November 24. To demonstrate how difficult it is to qualify for Nationals, there will be potentially 52 2012 State champions in each MW boys and girls Championship race. The MW girls race will bring together 10 of MileSplit’s top 25 nationally ranked individuals.
