1. Nick Phelps, Kingsley-Pierson, junior
We start first with no other than an Iowa native. That's Phelps, who last year won state championships in both the discus (176-2) and shot put (61-1.75). Phelps hasn't thrown this indoor season, but he has a PR of 60-11.5 from last year. He'll pop his first shot put of the indoor season here -- it also might be his last. His career best shot put from a year ago came at the Iowa outdoor championships.
