On Tuesday November 14th Johnston's
Jessica McKee signed her letter of intent to compete for the University of Iowa. The senior has competed for the Dragons all four years and can boast 7 top-10 finishes at Iowa State High School Championships between cross country and outdoor track. Her impressive PR's include 4:49 for 1500m, 10:19 for 3000m, and 17:45 for 5000m (XC).
McKee joins a strong freshman class full of Iowa preps for the Hawkeyes next year including Mid-Prairie's
Anna Hostetler, Payton Wensel of Linn-Mar,
Kylie Latham of Ottumwa,
Emma Gordon of Ankeny Centennial,
Sophia Gilbert of Benton,
Logan Akason of Waukee, and
Lily Campbell also from Waukee.
