WILLIAMSBURG, Iowa - Solon High swept the girls and boys races Thursday afternoon here at the WaMaC Supermeet at the Williamsburg Sports Complex.
Spartan senior Kiersten Conway added a conference championship to a standout career with a time of 19:15 for a Solon outfit that won with 57 points. Host Williamsburg (70) took second on the girls side, while Mount Vernon-Lisbon took third with 110.
The Solon boys also scored 57 points in victory behind a behind a seventh place finish from junior Gabe Hinman (16:54). Teammates Tyler Bilskie (17:05) and Brick Kabela (17:12) supported his effort with 10th- and 11th-place finishes, respectively.
Clear Creek Amana's Haidyn Barker (19:33) finished next after Conway, and Peyton Steffen (19:35) of Marion claimed third. Williamsburg's Ruth Jennings (19:36) and Madison Prier (20:20) from Marion rounded out the girls Top 5.
Center Point-Urbana teammates Eli Larson (16:00) and Luke Post (16:08) were the Top 2 boys. Shane Erb (16:12) and Jedidiah Osgood (16:33) of Marion were third and fourth, respectively. Clear Creek Amana's Gavin Zillyette (16:41) was fifth.
