This interview features the Cedar Falls high school girls’ team, interview with head coach Don Williams. Cedar Falls was 5th in the State 4A Cross Country Championships in 2011, and returns five of their top seven including the top three led by Allison Gregg (3rd, 14:10) and Brianna King (9th, 14:23).

Confidence. We have qualified for State 21 of the past 22 years; the girls expect to be there. We don’t have the depth we have had to follow our two top-10 girls; but the desire is there, and the girls are confident that we will make it happen.

Marshalltown 9/6 and Roosevelt 9/15; best teams in the state and great courses.
What you most love about cross country –
The team spirit, everyone gets to compete, no bench,

The Mississippi Valley Conference always has great competition and great coaches.
Team goals for the season –
Win our home invitational “Rich Engle Classic”, a big18 school meet; win the Valley Division of the MVC; and finish in the top five at the state meet.
