South Dakota MileSplit MVP's
We all know who hit the award's stand at the State Track Meet, but who are the best, Most Versatile Players (MVP's, get it!?) in South Dakota High School Track and Field?
The South Dakota MileSplit MVP's are ranked 1-10 using individual scores in each event area from the South Dakota Powerhouse Program Series. Keep in mind, this is a unique ranking system, using compiled ranking data from a range of events: Sprints (100-400), Distances (800-3200), Hurdles (100/110 & 300), Jumps (Triple, Long, High and Pole Vault) and Throws (Shot & Discus).

SOUTH DAKOTA POWERHOUSE PROGRAMS
This is a new series modeled after the MileSplit US Powerhouse Rankings. How does it work? The 50 best athletes in each classification of events: Sprints, Distance, Hurdles, Jumps and Throws are ranked in descending order, with 1st place receiving 50 points, 2nd place scoring 49 points and so forth.
Team scoring is based on the sum of individual scores, just like in a normal track meet- except the South Dakota Powerhouse Rankings goes 50 deep!

State Meet Qualifiers per SDHSAA Lists.
NOTE: You may see slight descrepencies in times from meets as the SDHSAA converts all times to Hand Held, using an FAT converstion of -.24 and then rounding down to the nearest 10th. MileSplit automatically rounds up to the nearest 10th and adds .24 to hand-held times so that there's consistency in rankings across the US.
VP TIMING will be taking care of the results and posting them live as the meet happens! www.vptiming.com/howardwood
