1.      When & how did you get started in track & field?

I joined the track team at Assumption during my freshman year of high school because a few of my friends talked me into it even though I had already decided I wasn’t going to; but I am very thankful that I showed up to that first practice that I went to.

2.      Person/people most influential to your success in track & field?

My coaches and my teammates are the most influential people to my success in track & field, because without them I would not have been able to accomplish anything that I have in track these last two years. They all push me to do my best every single day; and I am blessed to have such wonderful coaches and teammates.

3.      Your favorite track & field event(s)?

My favorite individual races are the 400m and the 200m, but I love to run in the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, and the Sprint Medley relays with my teammates.

4.      Your track & field event coach(es)?

Tim O’Neill, Terrance Reid, Jake Moylan, and Bonnie Schroeder

5.       Keys to your successful track & field training program?

Always listen to what my coaches tell me because they all have many years of experience with track, always trust them along with my teammates, and give 110% every day.

6.      Your favorite track & field meet(s)?

The Drake Relays and the State Meet.

7.      Track & field athlete(s) you most enjoy competing against?

I like competing against my teammates because we all push each other to do our best every time we step on to the track during practice and for races. Before every race my teammate Rose and I run against each other we say, “1 and 2”, no matter what the order is.

8.      Most memorable experience in track & field so far?

My most memorable experience in track & field so far is finishing as runner-up two years in a row at the State track meet, because it makes us want to work that much harder.

9.      Greatest accomplishment(s) in track & field so far?

2011: Drake Relays - 4x400 champions, 4x100 runner-up; 4x100, and 4x200 State champions; 400m State champion; 200m 4th place; and State runner-up as a team.
2012: Drake Relays - 4x400 champions, 4x100, 4x200, and Sprint Medley runner-ups; Indoor State - 4x200 champions; Indoor State 400m runner-up; 400m State champion,; 200m State runner-up; Sprint Medley State champions; and State runner- up as a team.

10.  Goals for the 2013 track & field season?

My goals for the 2013 track & field season are to compete for Drake Relays and State meet titles, and cut time off of our relays and my individual races, and build off of everything that we accomplished last year.

11. If a senior, college/university you will attend, or schools you are considering?

(a junior)

       12.  Long-term goals in track & field?

My long-term goals in track & field are to keep building off of  what we started 2 years ago for my next 2 years of high school track, and to hopefully run track in college.
