1. When & how did you get started in track & field?
I used to do a few track meets for kids when I was younger. I was in a lot of other sports, and knew I had some speed from that. Then I was involved in the junior high future knights track program.
2. Person/people most influential to your success in track & field?
My parents, coaches, and especially my track teammates.
3. Your favorite track & field event(s)?
My favorite event would be any relay. I think the 4X100 is my favorite because it’s so quick, suspenseful, and exciting.
4. Your track & field event coach(es)?
Jake Moilen and Terrence Reid are my sprint coaches. Tim O’Neill is my head coach.
5. Keys to your successful track & field training program?
My coaches push me a lot. I wouldn’t get myself to work so hard if they didn’t have so much faith and believe in me so much. Te relationships between me and my teammates also get me to work as hard as I can, and they help make it fun.
6. Your favorite track & field meet(s)?
My favorite meet would have to be the Drake Relays or State.
7. Track & field athlete(s) you most enjoy competing against?
Girls that have very close times to me, or girls that I have formed relationships with.
8. Most memorable experience in track & field so far?
Winning the 4X400 at Drake my freshman year.
9. Greatest accomplishment(s) in track & field so far?
Our back-to-back 4 X 400 Drake championship titles.
10. Goals for the 2013 track & field season?
My goals are to break all of my PR’s in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes, win four relays at Drake, to win at least one individual race at State, and to be State Champions as a team.
11. If a senior, college/university you will attend, or schools you are considering?
I have verbally committed to the University of Iowa for soccer.
12. Long-term goals in track & field?
I want to create the best track memories, and improve all my times every race to hopefully achieve all my goals.
