1.      When & how did you get started in track & field?

I got started in track in seventh grade.  I decided to run because my
older brother ran track, and both my parents ran marathons.

2.      Person/people most influential to your success in track & field?

All of my coaches have played key roles. My personal coach, Tom Green, has
made such a huge difference in my training and racing!  Along with coming
to all the big important meets, he is such a great coach; and I am blessed
to be able to work with him!
My schools head track coach, Wende Dawson, has always been there for me
through it all! She is my motivator, cheer leader and support system! She
is a great coach! She always has my best interest in mind, and I can't
express how much I value our relationship.
My head cross coach, Kevin Kueker, is great too! He runs with me during
the season, and even sometimes in the off season! I am lucky to have a
coach that runs with me and always has a clear sense of how I'm feeling,
and how my body is feeling.

3.      Your favorite track & field event(s)?

My favorite events are the 3,000 and 1500! I am looking forward to racing
the 800 this year! As well as doing the 5,000 in some post season meets!

      4.      Your track & field event coach(es)?
Tom Green, Wende Dawson, and Kevin Kueker

5.       Keys to your successful track & field training program?

The keys to my training are to listening to my body, taking my hard days
extremely hard, and letting my easy days be easy! I spend ten percent of
my day training, and ninety percent of my day is spent recovering so I do
all the littlethings like ice bathing, rolling out, and doing strength
work to ensure I get themost out of my training.

6.      Your favorite track & field meet(s)?

My favorite track meet is the Drake Relays!

7.      Track & field athlete(s) you most enjoy competing against?

I really enjoy Allison Gregg! We train together on long run days, and
go out for coffee afterwards.  We have a really great friendship, and
I enjoy racing againsther! We both are such Christ centered people.
It is great to spend time with someone who has the same goals and values.

8.      Most memorable experience in track & field so far?

The Drake Relays in the 1500 and 3000 last year.

9.      Greatest accomplishment(s) in track & field so far?

Runner up in the 1500 and third place in the 3000 last year at Drake.

10. Goals for the 2013 track & field season?

To stay focused and determined. Compete to the best of my ability.
Qualify for the Jim Ryun Dream Mile, and the USA Championships.

11. If a senior, college/university you will attend, or schools you are considering?

I am running at Iowa State next year.
