PR’s:  400m – 57.93, 800m – 2:14.91, 4K XC – 14:52

 

1.      When & how did you get started in track & field?

I ran a 5K road race with my dad when I was 12 and did okay.  The following spring I started 7th grade track and continued in 8th grade.  My parents took me to the Ankeny State Jr. High Meet in 8th grade where I found out I could compete with other athletes in the state.

2.      Person/people most influential to your success in track & field?

My father and mother both encouraged me to try all sports, including track and field.

3.      Your favorite track & field event(s)?

400 M Open and 800 M Open

4.      Your track & field event coach(es)? 

Angela Cook - Clayton Ridge, Tom Krall - Clayton Ridge

5.       Keys to your successful track & field training program?

Staying focused, keeping myself motivated, staying in shape by participating in other sports and running throughout the year.

6.      Your favorite track & field meet(s)? 

Drake Relays and the State Meet.

7.      Track & field athlete(s) you most enjoy competing against? 

Rebekah Topham (Griswold) and Nicole Miller (North Linn), because they always try to do their best.

8.      Most memorable experience in track & field so far?

Winning the open 400 M Open and Sprint Medley Relay with my teammates in the State meet as a freshman.

9.      Greatest accomplishment(s) in track & field so far?

Qualifying for three events in the Drake Relays and medaling in two of the events.

10. Goals for the 2013 track & field season?

Qualify for Drake and the State Meet with my teammates.  Continue to help improve Clayton Ridge Girls’ Track Program with my teammates.

11. If a senior, college/university you will attend, or schools you are considering?

(a sophomore)

12. Long-term goals in track & field?

Participate in track and field in college and continue to improve.
