"When I found out I was named Iowa USATFCCCA Coach of the year for Boys Track I was shocked and humbled. It is a great honor for my team, my family and our whole community of Lisbon. I give all of the credit to our success to my team. We all put the time in it takes to compete at a high level and have the success we've had the past few years. My advice to other coaches is always keep learning. We have many awesome track clinics and a lot of different ways to learn through technology. Also, love and care for your athletes, get to know them and show them you care. I would also like to thank my assistant coach Mike Bahl, my team, and my wife Laura and 3 daughter's Madison, Brynnley and Kennedy."

Congratulations Coach Baxa!
